LA GRANJA MENU

La Granja Restaurant was established in 1993. Our first location was opened in the beautiful island of Aruba; where the food had a great acceptance. The rotisserie chicken and some Peruvian plates became part of the arubian daily meal.

After, the great experience in Aruba, we decided to introduce our concept to South Florida. La Granja Restaurant had to compete with popular chains of restaurants. We had to work hard to position our name and to introduce our food and service to a new market.

La Granja Margate was opened in 1995 and since then we haven’t stopped. We have locations from Miami to Orlando. Our name has become very popular and our service and food a success. In 2007 we began to offer our franchises. The first franchise was opened in Kendall. Now we have 9 franchises in different areas of South Florida.

A long the way, we have received awards and recognitions. The Restaurant Review Magazine recognized us as “The Best Peruvian Restaurant of the Year” on 2003, “The Best Family Style Peruvian Restaurant” on 2004 and “Best Peruvian Cuisine of Fort Lauderdale 2007”.

Various well-know newspapers and magazines have written articles about our success and the excellent food that we offer. We have participated in television shows and food festivals in the community. The acceptance has been incredible.

La Granja restaurant is a family, characterized for a great teamwork, great customer service, positive attitude and hard work. We are very proud of our employees, our job and our achievements. We have been in business for more than twenty years, giving our customers the service and the food they deserve.

At any location, they serve delicious and fresh food. Take out or in restaurant; they serve in great portions which allows me to save it for leftovers if need be.
I usually order the 1/2 lb steak with grilled onions with plantains well done, yellow rice, and black beans.

This restaurant chain definitely deserves more attention because of how wonderful the food, the service and I forgot to mention THE SAUCES

    DEFINITELY worth checking out.

The kitchen in this quick-service Peruvian chain restaurant has it going on.

“Fried fish chunks” were surprisingly delicate and accompanied by delightful pickled onions and a very good tartar sauce. The “sauteed beef” was really just a good iteration of lomo saltado. The “chicken salad” was grilled chicken over a surprisingly well dressed lettuce, tomato, and onion salad.

The mango juice also got rave reviews. The desserts looked good (3 leches _and_ 4 leches cake…apparently you can have as many leches as you want).

Not sure what the pre-packaged food service container of ranch dressing was for. I ignored it.

Folks are also helpful and efficient. Bathrooms are clean (with weirdly tall doors).

My husband eats here frequently for lunch, so I know he likes it. But recently he brought me home a fried rice with beef (not sure what it is called on the menu), and man, is that addictive! The next day I was sad there weren’t any leftovers, so he was nice enough to run and pick me up another one. The fried rice is similar to Chinese food, but not quite. And way better than any fried rice at Chinese stores in this area. So, I will definitely be back.

This is a very special place we frequent here quite often for many years. Tonight I switched it up and had something I’ve never had, the lemon garlic seafood dish with fresh fish, mussels, scallops and shrimp. The lemon garlic sauce was smooth and flavorful. My husband had the new steak, vegetables and noodles in a light brown sauce. The atmosphere is fun and all the food is HOT & FRESH..I highly recommend this location, you will always return and be hungry to try something new every time.

La granja is known to be a quick and fast Peruvian food. Kind of the pollo tropical of Peruvian food for a comparison. I always love coming here for lunch specials. They have a decent deal for certain platters. Quality of food is good, and I’ve never had bad food. Only thing lacking is that I find the service to not be helpful or as friendly. I’ve been here on several occasions and when I ask questions, they seem abrupt in their answer and don’t like to expand much on detail and make you feel rushed when ordering.

First time coming here and it was a 50/50 for my family and I; I got a huge takeout order and some of the juices from the dishes were spilling inside the bag, they aren’t experienced with packing a big order. The lady there was cleaning it and replacing the bags while I was checking my order to make sure it was all correct. I would highly recommend boxes to transport this amount of food (this is what I ended up doing to take this to my parents house). I also noticed that they have their spices bar open; with Covid, I feel this is very irresponsible, no one should be able to serve themselves the sauces due to cross contamination; would recommend them pre-packaging the sauces so people can ask for them on the front counter. My husband wasn’t very thrilled with their chicken- it tasted dry. I had the arroz chaufa and it’s pretty soiled in grease, I liked it but I wasn’t too crazy about it. My brother had the pescado a lo macho and he really enjoyed it! My family had the jalea, nothing too crazy it was eh ok. We also ordered lomo saltado and that was actually pretty good! And lastly, I ordered tres leches which was good and one pionono which was actually pretty dry…. something else I noticed is they don’t seem to put when they make it and when it expires on. People there are friendly, many Peruvians working there (makes sense) but most of them don’t speak English at all!!! I am bi-lingual but it does make me pretty upset that if my husband were to go alone they wouldn’t understand him, and that’s upsetting! I think there should be a bi-lingual person up front and answering the phones at least.

Clean location with very fast service! Went in for lunch, got the garlic fish with shrimp and scallops, my go to item! $13 but well worth every penny. Comes with 2 sides, got rice and beans. The fish is grouper which is crispy crusted fried smothered in garlic sauce which has shrimp and scallops with it. A pretty solid lunch or dinner menu item. It’s my favorite. I get very full from just the fish n scallop /shrimp alone without needing to eat much rice and beans even. I like how you’re given a buzzer at this location and it beeps when the food is ready so you can go receive it instead of waiting to hear for your order #. I also had gotten the fried seafood family mean ($35) which was TOO much food. I realized I should have gotten the smaller size for $18.

Tasty Peruvian fast food with good prices. We had the family meal with a whole chicken, rice, and beans. The chicken was flavorful although slightly over cooked. The rice and beans were delicious! I also ordered a side of plantains and lomo Salgado; both were nicely cooked and delicious. The chicken and beef empanadas and they were average – bready with little meat
