We came here for the view but the food was good too. For starters we had the meatballs, octopus and the manchengo cheese bites. The meatballs were made of lamb and were good. The octopus was tender and really flavorful. The cheese bites were crunchy on the outside and ooey gooey on the inside.

The drinks were strong and they have top shelf spirits. Our server was very attentive.

For dinner we had the Ben burger, the lomo sandwich, the skirt steak, clams and mussels and the paella. Can I tell you how huge the paella dish was? It was enough to satisfy 8 people easily. We took most of it to go.

Overall, we’d come back again for the setting and for a quick bite.

I was excited to check this out after seeing some of the pictures online but we came here on a weekend when they had live music and I’m sure a lot of people love that but it was just really loud and it felt like you were in a club. We sat as far away as possible from the DJ booth, but it was still so loud.

The service was kind of slow. We had a bottle of rose, which was nice but we ended up having to refill our glasses since they were understaffed.

We ordered a margarita “pizzeta” but it was not good. It seemed like they used a premade pita or something and the crust was almost like having a Stacy pita chip. We should have ordered a burger or anything else.

I would skip this place for food. If you want to people watch and listen to really loud club music, then this place is for you! The pool is right next to the restaurant so you see a lot of people on the way to the pool or dressed up in their beach wear at the bar.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was some of the best places we’ve been to. We got to enjoy the gorgeous view and sunset, had the hummus appetizer and some amazing cocktails. We were told there was a 30 min wait but ended up getting a high top in less than 5 minutes.

Beautiful rooftop! Gorgeous views, awesome music, amazing drinks. Overall awesome place if you’re looking for a Miami vibe in West Palm Beach. Get the Saint Tropez Martini, it’s delicious!! Special thank you to Matt the manager, went above and beyond. We’ll most certainly come back!!

    Beautiful!
The views were stunning and the food was good.

The menu didn’t have a lot of options and it was pricey but you go more for the environment-which was lovely.

I’d go back. It’s a great spot to meet up with friends. One of my new brunch or sunset spots.

I’ve been to Spruzzo several times since my initial review and while I still like the view and the staff – I don’t like the food.

But first the positives about Spruzzo.
It’s a great view from the rooftop and the bar and restaurant give off a nice vibe and our waitress was excellent.

    The problems.
The food is not very good.
I ordered a $ 24 burger and they wanted to charge me two bucks for onions. It’s not the two bucks but the principle – really who does that? I thought a burger automatically comes with pickles and onions – I mean even going to McDonald’s a burger comes with onions.
    The burger was disappointing anyway.

A Tuna Poke appetizer was lackluster and forgettable as was a Chicken entree.

It seems as if Spruzzo’s focus is the money-making bar or the assumption that the view and rooftop dining are enough to bring people in.
Spruzzo is a nice restaurant and the staff are great but go just for drinks or better yet do what we did this week – go to Spruzzo for drinks and then head downstairs to Elisabetta’s for dinner.

I happen to come here on a spur of a moment and it’s a mixture of thoughts for me. It’s a rooftop restaurant with a bar that resides at the Ben Hotel in downtown West Palm Beach. Even though it may have beautiful intercoastal and city views, the prices are steep.

It was my fault for not checking the prices before hand and I didn’t think it would be that much for one cocktail. I got a frozen strawberry daquiri and it turned out to be 19 bucks for one! I could have 3 of them elsewhere for the same price, so you’re paying for the elegant hotel that it resides at.

However, the place is definitely shabby and it’s awesome for picture taking. It even has a pool next to the restaurant. I didn’t even walk over to that part since all of us were having too much fun at the bar. I wouldn’t mind going back there, but I’ll save and spend the money on a cider bottle next time 😉

Lovely place for lunch — great view. I will say it is pricey — as can be expected for a rooftop restaurant downtown (you’re paying for the view!). But I was pleasantly surprised by the food (which was very good) and the service! I would love to come back at night for some of the hotter dishes (which would have been impossible to eat in the midday heat!).

Some reviewers had a difficult time finding the restaurant — to the right of the hotel entrance there is an elevator. I agree is it poorly marked, but not enough to hurt my experience.

We walked in around 1:30pm and they sat us straight away more than 6 feet from other tables. There was a really nice breeze and shade.

Some reviewers have commented on the service — I didn’t have that experience. The hostess was really nice and our server Daniella was really attentive, friendly, and helpful with the menu (you can get a physical menu or scan the QR code on the table for a digits menu).

    Now for the food…

    MUST TRY:
    – Charred Octopus: if you like octopus this is a great starter — the “bacon” is more like thick cut pancetta and the beans are amazing! On the filling side.
    – Burrata: I am burrata connoisseur and I LOVED THIS!! The balsamic was a glaze with a very Smokey / savory flavor that was offset by the honey and blueberries. Came with TWO full burrata rounds.
    – Lobster roll: truffle!! And amazing fries.

    JUST OKAY:
    – Poke: it really is just a bowl of sushi-grade fish with some avocado and red onion sprinkled in. I didn’t find the flavor interesting but it’s a great low carb/ healthy option.

We got cold brew — which was standard (they have almond milk and biodegradable straws). BUT I would love to come back and try the drinks because they look really good!

Great experience! Will be back 🙂

Spruzzo is a rooftop restaurant located at The Ben Hotel. When you arrive, there is a separate elevator right at the entrance of the hotel to go to the roof, be sure to look for it to the right of the main entrance doors. Or just ask valet.

Came here a handful of times as my buddy was having his wedding at the hotel, we would go here for drinks, hang out, have some tasty foods etc.

Staff is friendly and helpful, you can pretty much choose to sit wherever, most of the time we sat in the sun on those comfy “booths” near the glass.

Menu looks good, appetizers are wonderful, drinks were plentiful with cocktail options and local beers. All I gotta say is get the grilled octopus!!! Amazing! I could’ve eaten like 6 tentacles! It’s grilled perfectly, the drizz of herb oil on it is fantastic! Very popular item! Other tables had lovely looking food too that we drooled over to put in our memory bank to get on our next visit.

Service was fine each time we went (day & night), prices were what I thought it would be. It’s a relaxing, upscale but not uptight, no riff raff, friendly, comfortable atmosphere with amazing views. A lot of photos were being taken for da ‘gram!

Definitely recommend stopping by to check them out, you don’t need to be a guest at the hotel, Spruzzo is open to the public.
