The very first Zaxby’s opened in 1990 in Statesboro, Ga. Founder and CEO Zach McLeroy built the concept around indescribably good chicken and the unrivaled flavor of Zax sauce. The food is always fresh and delicious, employees friendly and helpful, but that drive thru line, specifically the window to get your food is always on a delay. I hadn’t been here in over a year due to the location being near work and nothing has changed.
The cobb salad, however, is my favorite–crispy chicken, egg, bacon, cheese, fried onions, fresh tomato and they even peel the skin off of the cucumbers. Definitely enough for two meals
We love the tenders at Zaxby’s. Our first time trying was in Georgia, where they originated, and found all over the Southeast.
They tenders are breaded and fried to perfection, delicious fries, and our new favorite was the Kickin Chicken Sandwich! Tenders, smothered in ranch sauce and Tongue Torch, sandwiched between two slices of toast!
Zaxby’s reached out about my dissatisfying meal and was able to make things right.
So I gave them another go and the wings were definitely tastier with the sauce being present.
First time also trying the Cajun Club Sandwich, and I must say, AMAZING. Great flavor in itself, but then the bacon pops out and says hello to your taste buds too! Lol.
Appreciate Zaxby’s rectifying the situation, shall definitely return more often!
Best Zaxby’s I have been to so far! They really know how to treat their customers at this location and that by itself gets them these 5 stars.
The food is always great here, and the customer service has gotten better each time we visit.
Highly recommend this location if you’re having A craving for some delicious Zaxby’s!
I’m going to be honest, my expectations were low for my first-ever Zaxby’s experience. I just needed something quick, so I stopped in.
First of all, I was shocked with how clean the restaurant was! Appearance should get 10 stars. Even the bathroom was clean and orderly- not a small feat for fast food.
It was the middle of the afternoon, so I was one of about two people there. I was helped quickly and painlessly.
The food was ok. I would have liked my chicken a little crispier, but the fries and toast were good! Nothing revolutionary, but a solid choice.
However, they were apparently conducting interviews while I was there. No biggie, a business gotta run! But the manager was so unfriendly and rude to her employees, her interviewees, and anyone who was near her. I can’t imagine trying to apply here because I was uncomfortable as a guest!
Overall, I would try another Zaxby’s in the future, but maybe stay away from this one.
I tried Zaxby’s for the first time and had somewhat low expectations since it’s fast food. However, I was extremely impressed by the customer service, speed of service, and taste of the menu items. The staff was very sweet and friendly the entire time. I ordered in the drive thru and was lucky that there was only one car ahead of me, so I was able to order and get my food within several minutes. The kickin chicken sandwich and chicken fingers I ordered tasted amazing and were fresh. The fries and toast that came with it were my favorite part though!
Best fast food everrrrrrr! Sauce is top 1, no competition. Tenders are super good too. Love their bread and cole slaw, what’s not to like? Oh and the cookies are delicious too! Nice staff and clean place
